50/50 Solder for Stained Glass is an alloy consisting of 50% tin and 50% lead, made with 99.99% high-purity, non-recycled metals. It comes as a .125" diameter solid core wire, created through a proprietary process that produces a solder with excellent wetting properties. Although not as commonly used as 60/40 solder, 50/50 solder remains popular for stained glass projects, largely because it is more affordable.
